I love what Rusell has done with this piece, it could be seen as a rather simple technique but whether it is or isn't it is certainly effective. The way that the air has forced the paint out from each corner of the canvas gives the impression of power and movement reminiscent of four huge explosions, tearing apart the fabric of their surroundings. It also has quite an organic feel to it, the four corners looking like ever growing bacterial life forms working their way to the centre of the canvas eventually meeting to battle it out for domination of the space. The variation of the colours also keeps the image interesting, drawing the eye around the canvas and giving the four sections depth and perspective, eventually drawing the viewer into the centre of the piece where one can only wonder what will happen when the four eventually meet!
great work, maybe you could make it even more representive by making the fire corner have flames. i understand the air element, but maybe you should outline it with a darker blue. i also think you should make them longer so they clash in the middle more

Nice colors which carefully chosen represent what we would expect the elements to look like...I love that you also used a light background as it helps to highlight the individual elements. It's a nice abstract composition.
Thank you very much for your feed back! Yeah I have to agree with you about the air. I should have thought out the composition of the backdrop a little more. Like a darker corner so it stands out more. But it also stays true to the element as being transparent! I like how it also effects the other elements clashing in the middle. I really appreciate your comment, thank you!

Thank you so much! I was really trying to express the intensity, speed, and motion of the elements. Your comments are always appreciated! I thank you for your support!
